I'm a Catholic convert (from Protestantism) in love with Jesus and the Church He founded. I'm married to Forrest, an amazing man who has made quite a journey with me, following God, and we are blessed with six precious children.

Hilary and Hannah left this morning. They've been up here for three weeks, and we've had a good time visiting with them. Hilary had planned the time she booked her travels for to coincide with her older sister's baby being born, but the baby hasn't come yet.
Tim E. also headed down to NV this morning to see Heidi for the weekend. Awww. :-) Hope they have a sweet time together.

I keep meaning to mention how much I love my pastry cloth. Forrest got it for me for Christmas, and I've used it numerous times already for pie crusts, pizza crusts, etc. It is a Bethany Pastry Cloth, stretched over a round board. The dough never sticks to it, I can turn the board around instead of having to lift the dought to turn it, and I don't have to scrape the bits of dough that used to stick to the counter. Just wait till I make lefse next time...it should be great.

Heidi and Rick & Rachel fly in the same night next month--Good Friday. I'm very excited to see them all!!

Birds are singing this morning. It's beginning to feel very early-springish, and I hope we get some rain this month, because we're behind on precipitation. But I think I'm ready for spring now--no more winter's my preference at this point.

Babies

Congratulations this time go to Ryan & Taneisha on their little Isabella Faith, born February 22nd!
Taneisha's mom had a baby boy on the um, 18th? also, and congratulations to them. :-)
I wish I could say congrats to Isaac & Heather (my sister in law/brother in law) on their baby, but, well, he hasn't been born yet!

A Baby Girl

Congratulations to Evie & Matt on their little baby Isabella (hope I spelled it right!) born February 8th!

What a weird feeling

I've been meaning to post this all week!
On Sunday, Peter Roise came to preach, and after church, as people were standing around talking, he goes over to the piano with Lewis (his toddler son) and plinks on it with him. I didn't really take notice of this at first, being in conversation with others, but then he started playing "Heart and Soul"--but not the original one. This was the "jazz" version...and I was thinking, "Was I wrong in assuming Mr. Minnich made that up???"
So I went over to him and said "I didn't know anyone else knew the jazzed up version of Heart & Soul!"
"Oh, well, your brother (i.e. Isaiah) taught it to us," he said. "It's going to spread like wildfire; it's been pretty popular down there."

Cool.
