I'm a Catholic convert (from Protestantism) in love with Jesus and the Church He founded. I'm married to Forrest, an amazing man who has made quite a journey with me, following God, and we are blessed with six precious children.

Good grief...

I haven't blogged in so long. Well, between being a hostess and a wife/mother, I really have hardly had time to even get on the computer...and it takes me a bit to actually blog something, either because pictures take a little while to get off the camera and edit before uploading, or I have to think of something to say if I'm not posting pictures.
It's crazy here right now...we have all of Forrest's brothers. I'm not complaining, it's nice to have them over and they do help out with stuff. But it also helps me put my own relatively calm & quiet little family into perspective. I thought that my kids were loud...
So then after our company departs to go back to Nevada, we're going up to Canada for a couple nights with my parents & siblings. I'm looking forward to it...I think it'll be a little bit relaxing and diverting. It's a vacation my family took several times when I was growing up so there's nostalgia in it. It'll be fun to do it now with Forrest and our own kids.
Then, after we get back, a return to "normal life". As if there is such a thing. I'm wanting to can or at least freeze some peaches from Green Bluff, probably stew some tomatoes from our garden, do major cleaning & organizing up here upstairs (it's a complete disaster) and finally finish Noelle's quilt. I also want to get ready to do a little bit of school with Timothy, as he is eager to learn all his letters and is good at counting. The other day he counted up to 39 correctly, without missing a number, and then skipped to 80. "81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 30." he counted, and then was back to the 30's.
The nights are finally getting a little colder, and the days not quite as hot as they were, which I'm enjoying.
Well, we'll try to get some pictures posted some time soon.
