I'm a Catholic convert (from Protestantism) in love with Jesus and the Church He founded. I'm married to Forrest, an amazing man who has made quite a journey with me, following God, and we are blessed with six precious children.

My cute boys and my big belly

The other day I went to take a shower while the boys were up. I told them, "Okay, boys, I'm going to shower--be good. No hitting..."
"Or screeching or grabbing?" Timothy finished for me.
I got to thinking, he knows what he's supposed to do, and what's naughty...but so often doesn't follow it. But how is that really any different from how we adults are?
Well, I'm at 35 weeks today, feeling like there's hardly any more room for me to breathe, getting strained muscles too easily, and at the same time really not ready for this baby until my house is clean from top to bottom. The upstairs has all kinds of stuff that needs both straightened up, and organized into proper places for storage (particularly Christmas stuff). The basement is a big mess, both on the side with old stuff my parents have to go through, and on our side with all our garden stuff/tool stuff/boxes, etc. The main floor is OK, but I do want the kitchen, our room, and the boys' room organized better before I won't be able to do that sort of stuff for a while.
So that's what's up with me.
Yesterday on our way home from the store, I had the radio playing, and saw David in the rear-view mirror, with a blank stare on his face, keeping rhythm with the song by hitting his hand on his car-seat. Definitely a drummer!
