I'm a Catholic convert (from Protestantism) in love with Jesus and the Church He founded. I'm married to Forrest, an amazing man who has made quite a journey with me, following God, and we are blessed with six precious children.

Lovely mornin'

When Forrest got up before the sun this morning, we discovered that the furnace wasn't coming on. So he called my dad who stopped by at about 7. I used to get up at 7...but lately have been sleeping in...so when I got up then, it seemed unusually dark outside. The sun was coming up, but it wasn't completely light out just yet. Out our back door (facing west), a sort of morning-twilight was in the sky and on the roofs of our neighbors' houses, and just setting was the full moon. It glowed golden, a warm light in a cold, frosty morning. It was the first hard frost we've had this season, which is crazy, because usually frost comes in September. Our first frost was about 2 nights ago. This morning, the grass was iced and crunchy with it, and the tomato leaves are looking limp and slimy.
Well, the guy from the heating place came and re-lit the pilot for our furnace, so it's back on. (Praise GOD!) Glad we caught it so soon--the temperature only went down about 5 degrees below the lowest it normally would get.

What's Timothy up to?....better go check...
